The Prime Minister Youth Program has commenced distributing free laptops to young individuals. The laptop scheme aims to provide students with quality training by giving over one lakh laptops to them.
Previously, the PTI government halted the laptop program for young individuals led by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Instead, they introduced a new initiative known as the Prime Minister’s Youth Loan Scheme. This scheme aims to provide various benefits to the youth, including the provision of laptops and admission to reputable colleges and universities.
Ineligibility Conditions
To join this program, you need to follow these steps:
- Students who possess all the required criteria are eligible.
- Students enrolled in private sector higher education institutions offering HIA are not eligible.
- Students who have already received a laptop through any federal or provincial government scheme are not eligible.
- Foreign nationals, except students from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, are not eligible.
- If a student has not submitted the online application through the portal or has not provided Oan Khas, their application will not be considered.
- The eligibility for the laptop award will be determined during distribution. If a student fails to submit the required documents and proof of academic performance, they will not receive the laptop.
- Prior to the laptop distribution, applicants will be asked if any selected Taliban member has completed a degree program.
New Student Registration Process
To apply online for the PM Laptop Scheme, follow these steps:
- Visit the official website of the Prime Minister Youth Program for online application.
- Click on the “Apply Now” button.
- Enter your ID card number and check if you qualify for the program.
- If you are not eligible, provide your first name and your father’s name.
- Enter your date of birth and complete address.
- Specify whether you have a job or if you are currently a student.
- Indicate the university from which you would like to receive your laptop.
