Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Minister of Sindh Transport & Mass Transit, has directed the authorities concerned to finalize the creation of a mobile application for the Peoples Bus Service. This instruction was given during a meeting of the transport department, which was presided over by the minister.
During the meeting, the minister got information about the bus service’s operations, such as new routes, the Intelligent Transport System (ITS), and the setup of a command and control room. The minister stressed the importance of implementing the ITS in all service buses.
The developed mobile app will enable citizens to track buses in real-time and make online payments. When implemented in the buses, the ITS system will activate features like CCTV cameras, screens, live tracking, and monitoring facilities.
