According to the latest data released by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), there has been a significant decline in the price of 24-carat gold. The price per tola has witnessed a notable decrease of Rs. 1,000, now standing at Rs. 230,400. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold has experienced a considerable drop of Rs. 857, bringing it to a closing value of Rs. 197,531.

Over the past few weeks, there has been a consistent upward trend in the price of the precious metal, gold. However, in a surprising turn of events last week, the price of gold experienced a significant drop of Rs. 4,800 per tola. As of now, gold is trading at a considerably lower level than its all-time high price of Rs. 240,000 per tola, which was recorded on May 10th.

In the international market, the price of spot gold experienced a decline of 0.4 percent, settling at $1,940.39 per ounce as of 1247 GMT. At the same time, the value of US gold futures also dropped by 0.8 percent, reaching $1,954.60.
